
Artists as Mentors: Teens and pre-teens (ages 12-16) work in small groups side by side with our partner artists in their studios around Jerusalem. Each of our partner artists are experts in their field. 10am-1pm. Ages 12-16 “Artists as Mentors”: Register Here!
Workshops will be taking place in the artists’ studios. Space is limited (usually groups are only 4-6 participants). Once each group has reached capacity, a waiting list will be opened.

July 2-6 Metallurgy (Brass & Silver) w/Michal Ben Ari @Jerusalem House of Quality, 1950
Learn to saw, shape and polish metal into beautiful pieces such as keychains, earrings, and more. We will also make beaded animals and a silver ring.

July 9-13 2 & 3D Design & Color (Typography) w/Sharon Binder @Hutzot HaYotzer, 1300
We will explore the basic elements of Hebrew typography (Lettering) and their interactions with design and color theory. Using watercolors, ink, pens and more, we will engage with learn about how design, composition, and basic color concepts can create expressive messages.

July 16-20 Mosaics w/Roochie Sinai @Hutzot HaYotzer, 1380
Explore the fascinating world of creating art with broken pieces: Mosaics! We will make bring our own designs to life and create usable mosaic pieces such as lazy Susans’ and more.

July 23-26 (4 days) Comics & Cartoons w/Shlomi Charka in Katamon, 1080
We will look at comics as a literary genre and create our own unique comic characters and stories. Learn about color, character development, plot, setting in creating our own comic stories. We will learn techniques of how to include facial expressions, use color to express emotions and shapes to tell our stories in comic form.

Designed for teens with a passion for painting and drawing. We will aim to develop each student’s unique artistic voice while enhancing skills and artistic practice. We will cover fundamental drawing and painting skills, encourage creative self-expression and cultivate an appreciation for art history and diverse artistic perspectives.

Explore the wonders of glass art including working in stained glass, mosaics and sculpting with glass.

Aug 21-24 Papercutting w/Avigayle Adler @ The Open Studio, 1260
Discover this versatile art form that is as old as paper itself. Using exacto knifes and various papers collected from all over the world, we will imagine and create our own two and three dimensional sculptures and draw inspiration from both traditional Jewish papercuts and modern techniques.

Aug 27-31 Fabrics & Textiles w/Avigayle Adler @ The Open Studio, 1300
We will dive into the world of color and texture through silk painting, batik, natural dye techniques and, create 2 and 3 dimensional pieces using both wet felting and needle felting techniques. and needle felting.
